Prepaid Funeral plans can help you protect your family against unexpected costs, and uncertainty over your funeral wishes
Talk to us about how a prepaid funeral plan could mean one less thing to worry about for your loved ones. We have many years’ experience of arranging prepaid funeral plans, so you can be sure that we’ll provide a thorough, professional service, to ensure you have the correct plan.
What is a prepaid Funeral Plan?
In simple terms, it is a financial plan or life insurance policy, which you can pay money to in advance, to pay for your funeral in future. However, it also allows you to take care of other practicalities of your funeral such as your choice of music, charitable donations. Without such a plan in place, your family would have to deal with your arrangements in a short space of time and have to guess at what some of your choices might have been.
You can fund your funeral through a single premium, or through monthly contributions over a period of anything between 1 and 30 years.
How does a prepaid Funeral Plan benefit your family?
These are just some of the more common ways that your family can benefit from a plan:
- Fixing the costs of your funeral up front protects them against future price rises
- Funeral directors are paid directly, so your family wouldn’t need to wait for probate to provide suitable funds
- Your family may be geographically spread, so having a funeral director ready to arrange a funeral that meets with your wishes is a comfort to them
- You can discuss your wishes with us face to face, rather than a more impersonal approach by phone or online
The Money Advice Service estimates that the average cost of a UK funeral is £3,702 (as at 2016) and can be significantly more in certain areas of the country. We can arrange plans with guaranteed acceptance, no upper age limit and no medical underwriting required.
